Dan's 5 Tips for the Dubai World Champs

ANOTHER EACH WAY RETURN!! Last week I tipped Richie Ramsay at 50/1 and he shot a nice 66 in the final round to finish in a tie for 4th, meaning a £10 bet would have returned £67.50.

This week is the season finale Dubai World Championship and it looks like all the big boys are finding form at the right time. Lee Westwood managed a win at the Nedbank and Rory winning in Hong Kong means this could be a fascinating end to the season. The bookies seem to beleive that the winner lies within these guys so there isn’t much value with the top players (early odds offering Rory around 5/1, Westwood 6/1 and Luke Donald 9/1). For those looking for an each way bet you can still find some decent value.

Martin Kaymer - 12/1

Loves playing in Dubai and has a great record out there. Won the HSBC Champions event last month after storming home 7 under for his final 9 holes. Showing signs of his best again and the same sort of form that got him to World number 1 not so long ago.

Robert Karlsson - 24/1

This year’s defending champion seems to be another specialist in Dubai and the UAE. Finished 5th in Bahrain and 6th in Qatar earlier this year and is coming off the back of a runner up finish at the Nedbank.

Peter Hanson - 44/1

Has had 5 top 11 finishes in his last 6 events. Finished 9th in the Dubai Desert Classic earlier in the year and 2nd in Bahrain tally this with his 13th place finish at last years World Championship and we could have a potential Top 5.

Simon Dyson - 70/1

Enjoying his finest season on the European Tour to date and will be keen to finish with a flourish and mix it with the big boys to show this year was no fluke. Solid performer this year and worth an each way bet at this price.

Richie Ramsay - 75/1

For a player who has had 3 Top 4 finishes in his last 5 events Ramsay offers great value at 75/1. Keeps the ball in play extremely well which is a big help at the Earth course.
