5 Tips For The Johnnie Walker Champs
Wed 24th August, 2011
Well, last week was my first week without a return and after a nice 7deep first round I thought Peter Lawrie may go on to do the business. Let's hope this week can bring a bit more success. Boasting a profit of £191 since the start of the season. £261 returned from £70 staked. Here's my 5 tips for an each way bet in the Jonnie Walker this week.
Simon Dyson - 20/1
He's in a nice run of form in Europe at the moment after a good performance at The Open. Had a bit of a struggle in the USPGA but is now rested and raring to go. Managed to finish in the top 10 last year even with the added pressure of having to win to make the Ryder Cup team.
Eduardo Molinari - 33/1
Showed a huge amount of determination to win here last year and subsequently force his way into the Ryder Cup team. Knows how to win in Scotland with this title as well as a win at Loch Lomond 2 years ago. Fond memories for the Italian and may just win for a second year running.
Stephen Gallagher - 33/1
Back on home soil and after a 3rd place finish in Ireland in his last European appearance. Was in contention last year until a final round 77 dropped him back to 14th.
Richie Ramsay - 40/1
Looked to be playing well in Czech last week and would love to win in his home country.
Steven O'Hara - 100/1
This week I will be looking at a longer shot to try and recoup some of the money I lost last week.
5 over in the final round last week dropped him down to a tie for 5th but things looked promising. Has had a few good finishes at Gleneagles in the past and could be worth an each way punt.
